Ska is still loved by many musicians and played around the world.
There are wonderful bands and musicians, and we can listen to their music.
However, the authentic ska sound, the roots ska sound played in the 60s, can only be heard on records recorded at that time.
That sound is what we love.
This project, “AUTHENTIC SKA STANDARD,” aims to recreate that playing style and sound.
Some might call our actions nostalgia.
But studying the roots sound is a highly creative act.
It’s not mere nostalgia.
We study the roots sound, aiming for true creative musical expression beyond it.
スカは今でも多くのミュージシャンに愛され、世界中で演奏されています。
素晴らしいバンドやミュージシャンが存在していて私たちはその音楽を聴くことができます。
しかし、60年代に演奏されていたオーセンティックなスカ、ルーツのスカのサウンドは、当時録音されたレコードでしか聴くことができません。
私たちが愛しているのはそのサウンドです。
その奏法と、サウンドを再現することを目的としているのがこのプロジェクト、「AUTHENTIC SKA STANDARD」です。
私たちの行動を懐古主義と言う人達もいるかもしれません。
しかしルーツのサウンドを研究することはとても創造的な行為です。
ただの懐古主義ではありません。
私たちはルーツサウンドを研究し、その先に真の創造的な音楽活動を目標にしています。
